Jim Palmer. Jim Palmer (Orioles Pitcher 1965-1984) had a pretty good season in 1975. His 10 shutouts and 25 complete games are still Orioles single-season records. Just think about that - 10 shutouts and 25 complete games. I hesitate to use the word "never," but I think it's safe to say those records won't be broken in our lifetimes.
The year saw Palmer win his second of three AL Cy Young Awards (1973, 1975, 1976).
Palmer was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990. Others who were elected to Cooperstown as St. Louis Browns/Baltimore Orioles were Rick Ferrell, George Sisler, Bobby Wallace, Eddie Murray, Cal Ripken, Jr., Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson and Earl Weaver.
